Golf Tour in Sri Lanka (10 Nights / 11 Days)

Sri Lanka is relatively unknown in the field of golf, but surprisingly has four of the finest golf courses (one incomplete) in Asia. In fact, Sri Lanka’s association with golf is more than 100 years and the Sri Lanka Amateur Golf Championship which was instituted in 1891 follows only the British Amateur Championship as the oldest national championship in the entire world.

DAY 01
Airport – Colombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon the arrival at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative from Crystal Holidays. You will be escorted to your vehicle and transferred to the hotel in Colombo Check-in at the hotel

DAY 02
Colombo – Pinnawala – Kandy

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to vibrant city of Kandy, the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka.

En-route visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. The foster – home of elephants of different age and size feed, bathe, play together and even mate. In the evening visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic of Buddha – by far the most important place of worship for Buddhists world over and witness a Cultural Show by traditional Kandyan Dancers and Drummers including “Fire Walking”.

DAY 04
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, leave for Nuwara Eliya is one of the most scenic city & Little England of Sri Lanka, En route visit a Tea Factory and a Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of the world famous “Ceylon Tea” and to taste a pure un-blended cup of factory fresh tea. Also pass by eye-catching views with waterfalls

The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, founded in 1889, is one of the oldest golf clubs in Asia and probably the world. It is an institution, rich in tradition, history and carries an ambience unparalleled in this country. The 18-hole course, 6399 yards long, is a testing par 71 and is made up of long, narrow fairways, bordered by rows of towering eucalyptus trees and elegant cypresses, held together by dense acacia shrubbery. Good positional play is must for a positive outcome and the course terrain, with its succession of undulating dales and hills, and the many water hazards, confronts the serious golfer with a series of stimulating challenges. Yet, despite its natural difficulties, it also caters to both the casual golfer and the enthusiastic amateur.

DAY 06
Nuwara Eliya – Yala

Afternoon go for the jeep safari at Yala National park where you might be lucky to see leopards but will definitely see crocodiles, elephants and many rare species of bird

Yala National Park – Yala National Park is famous for big herds of elephants, large number of leopards, spotted deer, sambar, crocodiles, mongoose, wild boars, wild buffaloes and many other animals. More than 130 bird species have been recorded which include the resident birds and winter visitors. The common birds found here are spot-billed pelicans, cormorants, egrets, spoonbills, herons, storks, ibises, bitterns, Indian moorhens, white-breasted water hens.
